Has anyone out there installed bar end mirrors with the Crossroads clip-on style handlebars? Of course, the handlebars are solid, so I am wondering if they need to be drilled and tapped, or something else. Please advise if you can... | ||

Ray, Never had them on crossroads(though I'm thinking about it), but the CRG's will clamp directly to a 7/8 bar. I did that on my Renthals and the picture was awesome. No vibration at all. I never ran the barend adapters. Just mounted my grips and controls inward a 1/2" on each side...the Renthals were about an inch wider than stock anyway so it worked out. They are worth the money, trust me! TK | ||

My cross roads aren't solid. I've got the REI bicycle bar end mirrors. I guess they changed them for the 0o bars? | ||

MY -7's are not solid. I use the buell black plastic tip inserts on mine. | ||

The bars themselves are hollow. I'm running bar ends with the crossroads. No different than putting them on the stock bars. you can see them in the pic on my profile. Ivanski  | ||

Man, how did I miss that when I installed them. I could have sworn they were solid. Anyway, I suppose I just have to pop the end caps off the grips. Thanks guys!!! | ||

Crossroads and American Sport Bike sell the -7 degree versions. The 0 degree version are American Sport Bike customs. I've had both, I prefer the 0 degree versions. They're narrower and feel more "natural" to me. They are a bit more difficult to get the cables routed right, though. The cable routing is a little tricky, but be patient, and with a little mechanical finesse, it can be done properly. Al, I love my 0° bars from American Sport Bike, however, I must say one thing. At $250 a copy you should provide better images of the installation process. I must have studied those poor prints for an hour, and I still had to figure out, through trial and error, how to get the bracket to fit properly with the cables beneath it. No doubt it can be done, but some high quality color prints would make the job soooo much easier. It's all about positioning the cable before mounting the bracket... Just my 2 cents. Ray |
