I'm selling my 2001 X1 after just buying it 3 months ago. I find out my wife who never ridden before loves to ride and now i want a bigger more comfy bike i do more riding with her than i do by myself. I'm asking kelly blue book value it has the buell race system with ecu, the header is ceramic coated crome. There is also about $750 worth of carbon fiber, the rear hugger cracked on me from the 2up riding the stock shock is not made for such riding. So i cut off the belt guard and put it on, it still has a nice clean look the carbon under tail has rub marks on it from the 2up riding but you can't see them unless you look up under the tail. other carbon pieces are: tank protector, dash plaque, tank trim and carbon under tail. I also have an extra stock seat, new battery and service manual to go with it. The only problem i had with it, was the rocker box gaskets leaked i changed them out with the upgraded graphite gaskets. I bought the bike with 4400 miles on it. The bike is molten orange with the nuke blue frame i think it is the best looking set up buell had. The bike currently has 7839 miles and i am still riding so the miles will be a little more if you buy it. I just put a set of pirelli diablo strada's on it 2500 miles ago. I'm waiting on a shipment from American sport bike for it's second oil change by me with redline sythetic and it's first tranny change by me with harley's brand gear oil, I'm also putting on an extra capacity oil filter and a pair of gel grips. The previous owner and I have been very anal on the maintenance on this bike. This is one of the best looking X1's around i constantly get remarks on how good it looks. KBB value is $6000 with upgrades or I would consider a trade for a kawasaki 1500 cruiser 1998 to a 2003 model. There are 2 smudges, one on the top of the seat brace and one from the clutch cable which you can not see unless you move the cable. I can not ship the bike you will have to pick it up i live in Ballston Spa, NY 12020. I do have more pics with a better resolution that show how nice the bike really looks the site would not let them go on because they are to large. If you would like to see them, email me at jpaws5@aol.com and i will send them.

Well i just can't bring myself to sell this bike. When a guy who owns a nice looking chopper looks at my bike and drolls, it makes me want to keep it, I think the reason it gets so much attention is the look and the insane deep, loud sound of the exhaust and the fact there are hardly any buells around here. The wife will have to wait till next riding season till we can buy a new bike. (Message edited by paw on July 06, 2006) (Message edited by paw on July 06, 2006) |
