assuming the snorkel is out, is your airbox cut at all?

You could wrap your exhaust pipes. Maybe marginal gain, but
the secondary of lest heat on the right leg is nice.

Those are cheap, relatively quick mods.

the snorkel is the rubber piece that goes through the frame. it restricts airflow.
It is placed there by the factory to reduce intake noise.

The inner airbox cover can be cut out to allow more airflow as well. this has been
done with everything from hole saws to jig saws to dremel tools. the only things to
keep in mind is the integrity of the latches, and do not cut the area above the snorkel
(inside of the filter) or you'll get dirty air in your intake.

If you do a search you'll see a bunch of threads with pics. an "open air box" is this
idea taken to extremes. there is no material left except for the area above the filter.
It is usually secured with screws.

Another mod is a catch can mod. the complete kits for this are available through American Sport Bike,
and www.kdfab.com. This takes the (hot, oily) crank case vents out of your motors'
intake. Al at American Sport Bike did some tests and found as much as 2hp gains by doing this mod.
It had slipped my mind until I started writing about the open airbox mod.

I have one of the prototype catch cans on my bike. Mike at Norris Performance makes
the catch cans for both Al and Kevin. He does great work, and it is amazing how much
water and goo I have drained out of the can that would have gone into my motor.

Does that help?

Dave and Al can get you the Micron, it's between $700-$900 (broad number because I'm not sure the exact), but expect about 8-10 h.p., depending on what Dyno you use.

Sorry it took me so long to see this post.
Other than maybe changing exhaust, you are pretty much there for simple power gains(ones that will make enough difference to feel anyway)
Just depends on if you want that last 2 hp or not?
The catch can is a good idea. It would be a good idea even if it didn't gain you any power.
