Al, that'd be great. I'm at a REAL PREMIUM for time at present but there are going to be too many very interesting Buell V.I.P. around to let the opportunity pass, particularly with new models and racing to visit about.
I'm going to go ahead and ante up the price of the room today and sign the contract. I'll be hard at work on the logistics and truly appreciate all the help I can get from the California contingent to fill the room.

I am bumming that I can't make it.
Could I get someone to tape the FX race for me? I will be off on vacation that week and will not have anyway to see it.
Court, can I get you to call me from the track with FX updates on Saturday? We will in the car and cell phone reception might be spotty. |

All the above is true....a few people have bailed so with LUCK everybody will have space for tents....But YOU MUST GET YOUR GEAR TO US THIS WEEKEND OR AT LATEST MONDAY NIGHT!!!}If theres a chance you will be under the Loveshack bring both a one and a standard tent.So if theres room you can use the standard one outside..Once "Support Vehicle Passes" are designated the remainder of the bikes parking overnight will need to purchase a pass.These are $50.00 and cover 2 Motorcycles.We will designate on the back of these passes what bikes they cover , so when the "Parking Gestapo" show up(they are all ex-prison guards)they will be able to tow away non-pass protected bikes}(OK , i'm kidding on that one!)}Have some cash on you if your in need of these passes as we never no when they will show up.}

NEXT TOPIC....Donations....We have been asked often about donating to the cause and we DO appreciate THIS!!!In past years Jerry (and a few others) have absorbed huge costs to make this happen.We would like to see that Jerry doesn't try to take on the fuel ,propane ,and related Loveshack delivery costs of past.Therefore there will be a donation jar this year placed prominently inside the 5th Wheel.He has objected in the past but thats the kind of guy he is.....We will help out this year and all monies donated will be extremely appreciated!We will be looking for volunteers to run to the store which won't be easy considering that very few vehicles will be allowed onsite.All help and concerns in these matters will be organized or answered by Jerry ,Eric or Al.Members whom consistently attend the Meetings will not be expected to donate.You have already donated graciously through our raffles and paid the cost of a spot. The remainder of the money in our treasury has been spent on 2 Paddock Passes that will be on loan and on food upon our arrival in Salinas Wednesday night.

Cell.....714-936-4823.....This cell phone does NOT work at the house,I'm in a Nextel Dark ZOne,but I can use it from 6:30am to 3:00pm.Leave a message and your number on the cell phone if I don't answer!Nextel doesn't send me messages promptly so keep trying.
If you have no luck with either you can call my Secretary at Beckman Coulter Corp.

Guys it doesn't look like the Saturday evening deal is gonna fly. There has been some interest but not enough for me to make the "leap of faith" to put a $4,000 deposit on my Amex and bet that 60 Buellers are gonna pop $65/Ea + tax & tip.
I'm thinking too many folks already had plans when we tried to get this off the ground.
Next time Jeremy is in the US, we'll start earlier and have a dinner for him.

Finally..!!!!A Laguna Seca POST PARTY..!!!!!!!
This Saturday night at Jerry Johnsons house (in Oceanside) there will be a get together to view the Races from Seca.ALL are invited , and are welcome to stay over too..Jerry has recently added a Pool Table room to his house and has an old-west decor back yard thats really cool! I will get with American Sport Bike AL and Joanne later today to get an e-mail message out.This message should have the particulars of directions and phone numbers for all.LETS HAVE SOME SECA FUN..!!! |
