AnnyBill . . .thanks for the kind wishes, bro Brent . . . . .although I disagree, strongly with teh protestors, they are not, in my opinion, anti-patriots . . . .they may be expressing their views at an unfortunate time, and in a way that couyld be understood to mean that they don't support the troops, but they are, after all, exercising their right to speech and to express their views in public (I won't comments on the chuckleheads who use their fame as sports players or entertainers to do so . . . . they are idiots, each and every one of them, not matter what side of the argument they fall on) Nixon also said that you were either with him or against him, if memory serves . . . . just cuz the prez says it's so don't make it true . . . the AM radio (short) version is that our troopers and sailors and airmen and marines are off defending the right to free spech and public assembly , , , please don't belittle their sacrifice by wishing it away here at home |

Good point Bomber, but you know the timing of the protesters really does stink !! To protest before the fact, to have a voice in the process seems okay, but now we are at war and it doesn't seem that protest rallys really accomplish anything other than get everyone, themselves included, all riled up !! I have no problem with anyone saying they are against the war, any war, whatever but what purpose do the rally's with their huge gatherings accomplish now ?? Maybe if they really want to accomplish something, they could volunteer to be Human Shields in Iraq ?? I'm not trying to be ugly, but you know put your money where your mouth is if your serious about trying to accomplish your mission ?? But as always I defer to your opinion !! CJM |

CJ . . . . you should never defer to my opinion (smile) .. . your's is just fine . .. I agree about the timing . . . it stinks, big time . . . .but, that said, I don't think they are pro-Iraq or pro-Saddam . . .I think they are anti-war . . . . . . me too, come to think of it the basic differnece is that I think war isn't going away until we evolve into something other than homo sapiens (odd name, that) . . . it's a nice dream, but not one that I'll see come to pass |

I don't think they are pro-Iraq or pro-Saddam . . . I don't think that either, I think they are lacking in common sense !! Staging rally's without something to accomplish seems pointless to me, and there is Nothing they can do right now to avoid war, so why the protests ?? I myself am against war, but am not naive enough to think it can always be avoided. But I'm not trying to organize or participate in rally's that cause traffic problems, low moral for troops, incite anger, etc. etc. Just seemed stupid to me ! CJM |

Sams, That is a great commentary. Where did you find it? Would be good to post over in the " Quick Board - War is the Only Answer" topic. |

I gotta get a better grade of crack before I spout prices, I must have been thinking of the K&N thing with the nut on the end.Apologies.To the anti-war people, It's nice you CAN protest without troops executing you and your family in the street. After the events of this last weekend(executions-beatings of our troops)my stand hasn't changed although I've become angry and sickened at the thought that the one soldier is a woman. You know what kind of a "party" she's having now. The Iraqis under Saddam are animals. We Americans can't seem to grasp that. They don't care about Geneva, rules of engagement, or morality in general. They HATE us and want us all dead. This is no game and you can be certain there's much more going on here than we're being allowed to see or hear.In any fight, the difference in life and death depends on two things only. Your ability to smoke your enemy, or the amount of mercy He'll show you when things go bad. Do you really think these people even have a word for mercy? How 'bout this weather??? |

Brent, I mailed in application for (freebie) Grattan Track days being held 5-6 April. Can I expect anything back from them, such as a confirmation, or do you just show up and hope for the best? Are you still going? Do you (or anybody else) have extra room to haul my S3 up there? I would also consider riding out there with other bikes, but don't want to travel alone just in case there are problems. Help! Anyone? |

Fly, don't expect anything from Grattan. When you get there you have to check in and they will have your info. I am all set for Grattan myself. I will be heading up on Fri. If there are more people going, we could rent a cargo truck to transport the bikes. Twopuppies, are you heading up on Fri? I was thinking of staying at the same hotel you stayed at before. Maybe you could enlighten me with some info on that hotel. |

Geeze Loueeze! I haven't checked the board for a few days...I'm impressed with the geo-political posts. Guess I feel the need to get my two dinars in. 1. I think the protesters are misguided. But it's the right of Americans to speak freely, so long as they don't hurt anyone. Remember the old school yard ditty: "sticks and stones will break my bones, but..." 2. I feel sorry for the Republican Guard once the Sreaming Eagles jump into the fray. Frank 13E4P |

I think everyone is headed for a little 'reality check' over there. Saddam's going gorilla on us just like I would have have done if I were him. Americans are kinda stupid if they think this is a Stallone movie and will be done in 90 minutes. Now the Feddaheen are dressing up as American troops. Just freakin great! Bomber, you ever see that in the Nam? |
