What is your primary malfunction soldier? Please learn this... Don't even think about overtightening your chain. Wise folk suggest setting the chain slack to no less than 5/8" and closer to 3/4" total up and down play when the chain is in its most taught position. Is this mearsured bottom to bottom or bottom of the chain to the top of the chain. Bottom to top would make my chain tighter. It would be 3/8 less travel. Please specify how your measuring the chain. |

I think it is what you call "bottom to bottom" but I'm not sure if I understand you. Pick any one spot on the chain and adjust it so that spot can move up and down a total travel of 3/4". That would typically mean the spot moves 3/8" up and 3/8" down. Jack |
