My 2001 S3 is not running well at all!! I took it to harley and they plugged it in and said that it is not showing any codes. though it is idling fine once you put some throttle to it, it bogs down and has no power, I have blown through 4 sets of plugs, replaced the coil and O2 sensor and still running awful!! has anyone had this problem or can diagnose it to gu=ive me some idea as to what to do next. I don't want to keep guessing and throwing parts at it that don't fix it. any help would be appriecated. thanks |

It could be a TPS issue. My throttle shaft went bad and the engine acted like that. My TPS wasn't turning along with the butterfly. |

check for : fuel starvation tank breather // vent fuel filter bad data throttle shaft tps off [ reset] AFV off due to fuel exhsaustion [ reset ] temp sensor (aft head, mixture will be all over the place)it may not show bad but can be shifted. temp sensor (air inlet) off mixture off air leak from intake manifold seals lean mixture |

Define"blow through 4 sets of plugs"---too rich??? Check engine temp sensor and O2 sensor making sure connections are good. Really need more detail on symptoms!!! |

Someone recently had similar symptoms from a baffle that shifted in the exhaust impairing the flow of gases. |

I had a very similar problem due to clogged injectors. How did the plugs look? |

Believe it or not, a K & N air filter installed backwards and plugging up the intake on the back of the stock air box will cause the exact problems described. |

Check your muffler for an obstruction or loose packing. If it's a Supertrapp the inner cannister can work loose and plug your exhuast -- especially on acceleration! |
