I just got finished putting on my flat handlebars on my bike, also just painted the header wrap. Not sure what is next, a work in process. Have the d&d exhaust and race ecm, with k&n filter. So far I am happy, love it!!! Just wanted to share.

I rode for a little while today and they seem comfortable so far, a lot less wind pushing on you. I am 6'1". Me and my cousin ride almost every other week, I live in gainesville and he lives in brunswick, ga and I ride ok but I think the lower handle bars will be more comfortable. Hoping to do some riding this weekend so I will let you know.

Looks great! Do you notice more or less vibes through the bars?

I've got the Crossroads bars on my XB9S. I think that they're a vast improvement over the stock bars. Obviously, just my opinion, but I'm glad that I made the change. I got my Zero Degree version from Al at American Sport Bike.

Looks good on there. I have been thinking of going to either those or clipons ever since I got the Night Rod for cruising. Put the Buell into sport-bike mode for more of a difference in riding style. We'll see...

I just put crossroads on too (xb9sx). I love them.

I had also tried azonic cr lows, and renthal ultra lows... but they just didn't feel right.

I'm 6'0, on the stock bars I found myself bending my elbows a lot because I wanted a more foward stance (not crotch-rocket, but like a mountain bike stance).

these did the trick, they are definitely wider. And being somewhat tall I don't find the slightly forward stance at all fatiguing, to me its just plain comfortable now. I dunno... the bars are stiff, wide and make the bike real easy to dip and turn - love it!

I have the older 7o cross roads bars.

I cut 1 inch off each side and slid the controls all the way in as far as I could.
Took an "R" clutch cable and routed it behind the flyscreen, and out a hole I drilled in the side.

Just didn't care for how wide they were, now they're just right. I'm 6' also.

I have the Zero degree on an XB9.

Best money I've ever spent on a bike. Couldn't ride aggressively without them.

I tried the dirt bike bars and they didn't work at all for me.

I'm 6'0"

DITTO, I am 6'2", besides the SS Drummer, the Crossroads bars are the best thing, I agree with the mountain bike stance comparison, as to comfort, if you are in stop and go traffic, it can be slightly tiresome, but at riding speeds, the body position is very comfortable, it might become tedious if you are on a highway cruising at 55 or 65 for hours, but if you have some wind in your face, it is totally comfortable.

hey guys, just got back from a ride with the new handlebars and all I can say is, should have put them on sooner. There is a huge difference between them and stock, I am 6'1" and I am so much more comfortable with these bars. Might get me in a little trouble because riding at high speeds leads to tickets, easier in the turns, and a lot less wind. I would recommend them to anyone, espically anyone tall. Angelwild327 I used a Hi-Temp silicone coating black paint (DEI). My cousin ordered it from eastwood co. also the header wrap. Works great smells a little at first but it's not bad.

I see... man, I really like those bars (sorry, I already said that!). Just last weekend I was thinking I wish I had lower bars so I could stretch out my back a bit more - just like FCBuell said - I kept bending my elbows and leaning forward to simulate it through turns. Perhaps this will be a winter project!! I assume you were able to just hook up the stock controls to it (clutch cable, etc.)?

I have those on my XB9S, as well as bar-end mirrors. I like 'em a lot. A word of caution, though - be very careful routing the clutch cable. I didn't get mine quite right, and the cable ended up snapping right at the lever after a few thousand miles.

I PUT THESE BARS ON AND THEY ARE GREAT. I DID NOTICE ONE THING. I PUT THE NEW 2006 CLUTCH SPRINGS IN. THEY ARE SWEET. A LOT EASIER. BUT WOULD RECOMMEND MOVING THE CLUTCH CABLE. IT BINDS TOO MUCH BEING ROUTED THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE BARS. I ENDED UP DRILLING A HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE FRONT COWL FOR THE CLUTCH CABLE AND NOW IT IS MUCH EASIER. IT TOOK 20 MINS AND IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERANCE. THEN YOU CAN FIT YOUR WIRES IN THAT SPOT. HOT! RIGHT?
