Anyone know? Recently picked up LN 06 ecm, muffler and air filter on eBay (someone put in a race kit). TIA! |

did you look an Buell's prorace accessories section? 12 ECU says 04 and later. The 9 Is split between 03 to 04 and 05 and later. I don't think I'd mix and match. Or am I totally missing the question? |

I think you are missing it. I am not aware of any changes made between the years that would make them unusable. There is a difference in the ecm's for the 9, hence why I asked which model line. |

I was asking because Al was asking for ECM cores by year and indicated some kind of diff btwn 04 and 06. I just threw the muffler Q in there in case. |

I know this is slightly off-topic but thought I'd throw it in. The early '03 race mufflers have different dimensions to the later ones and thus don't fit '04 and later bikes. Seems a redesign was necessary due to modifications to the belt drive fouling the right outlet. (Message edited by lenb on June 16, 2006) |

06 Stock ECMs have a different config ID than 03-05 ECMs do but the maps are the same. We don't know the specific differences, but I think they are corner case operational condition algorithm changes. Al |

Could I simply swap the 06 for my 04 to see if anything might be different, or is a TPS reset called for every time an ECM is changed? |

TPS reset would need to be done. One customer just swapped in an 05 ECM onto his 06 to see if it would change anything. It did not. Al |
