I just found out from the Buell Marketing Coordinator today that they are delaying the delivery of the bike I won (from the Buell/Tourist Trophy helmet design contest) until August instead of June.

Wait the good news is they are giving me an '07 instead of the '06 like was advertised in the contest. I wonder if Erik had anything to do with that. Anyway I love Buell and everybody there.

I know you guys hate me...sorry. Just wanted to share my excitement with my Badweb brothers.

That is awesome that you won it man. Hopefully your wait will be well worth it... we will find out in July. I don't think they had a shortage of this years model though. We just accepted another xb9r and uly today.

Were you ever able to do te revised color scheme (white w/ orange and blue)?

Do you get to meet Erik and tour the factory as part of this? If so, you'll
really enjoy it. The people at Buell really do love what they do, and Erik is
a really down to earth guy. Congrats again.

Thanks for your nice words everybody. I plan to post many pics once I take reception of the bike in August.

To answer some of your questions....

No not sure what bike I am getting or if I have any say in the matter. All I know is that I am getting an 07 XB12. Did I mention that Buell is also paying all taxes and title fees? Another perk not in the original contest rules. That is good enough for me.

I should be getting some inside info in the next few days as to what Buell has planned for 07. Through this experience I have gained some contacts on the inside and communication with "The Godfather". Doubt I can say anything until after the dealers show in July but we will see. I do have a tendency to blab.

Also not sure if they are going to do a limited run of the helmet I designed. I know I am getting an autographed helmet which has me very excited. That one will just sit in a glass case on a shelf. Would be nice to have another one to wear on the road.

Diablo: I still need to do your color scheme up on the helmet (Were you ever able to do te revised color scheme (white w/ orange and blue)? . Maybe I will get to that soon.
