I just replaced my primary cover on my '04 XB12S lightning, yet I'm not sure on the quantity of Syn3 I should put in it. Does anyone have a quantity they could enlighten me with? |

Yes, one quart, but fill it with the bike standing up straight. |

How much did the primary cover cost you? Why did you replace it, if you don't mind me asking. |

One quart. I recommend using Mobil-1 75-90W synthetic gear oil though. It'll make the trans feel a little smoother. When you replace it in the future, be sure to level the bike while draining to get as much out as possible. If you don't, you won't get a full quart out, so putting a full quart in will be overfilling and you'll have trouble finding neutral (except when you're looking for second ). |
