I just replaced my primary cover on my '04 XB12S lightning, yet I'm not sure on the quantity of Syn3 I should put in it. Does anyone have a quantity they could enlighten me with?

Yes, one quart, but fill it with the bike standing up straight.

How much did the primary cover cost you? Why did you replace it, if you don't mind me asking.

One quart. I recommend using Mobil-1 75-90W synthetic gear oil though. It'll make the trans feel a little smoother.

When you replace it in the future, be sure to level the bike while draining to get as much out as possible. If you don't, you won't get a full quart out, so putting a full quart in will be overfilling and you'll have trouble finding neutral (except when you're looking for second : )).
