I posted in the Classifieds, but I figured more people would see this on here. I need to get one of the rubber x's from the city x air box for my 12Ss. I'm currently commuting every day and it's starting to scratch up my airbox cover pretty badly. If anyone has one please let me know. Patrick |

I asked about making the "X" available from the factory. They said they use a pretty aggressive glue to attach the X and a jig to press and hold it in place. they didn't think that most people have the facilities to do it right. I also asked why they weren't available in other colors. Abe said he'd look into it. Great people at the factory. |

With the demand here, I've also been wondering why they haven't been avail. from Buell... and I've got a WTB in the CLASSIFIEDS as well! They seem to come avail. in waves, and we're in the trough right now... -Mike |

I have an "X", just trying to decide on an adhesive. Any ideas? |

Try paste. Not only sticks ok but it tastes great! Ok that aside try McMaster-Carr. They have some thin two sided clear adhesive that looks like the stuff used on the frame pucks. You may want to make an exo-skeleton to tape to the top of the rubber X before trying to apply it though. That adhesive does not give you two tries. |

I want an extra myself. I have a plan for a new look and plan a resign of the X. |
