I wouldn't go cutting any wires.

I heard if you take the tires off the rim it feels like your riding on ice.

There actually is such a wire!
Well, sort of....

I don't know if it's just on the European models, but it's probably so!

There is limitation built in the box to reduce power somewhere around 3000-3500 rpm
This is the rpm range where noise testing is done.... This is something that you feel for sure, the bike literally stops pulling at that range but the rpm and noise just goes up : )
And at about 3800-4000 (can't remember wich exact range it is) the power all of a sudden comes back!

It's white wire number 8 at the ecm on euro models ( at least swedish models : ) )
Don't cut the wire, simply remove it intact from the deutsch contact!

I would contact Trojan or Hillbilly-Motors to see if your specific model is one of the restricted models.

Would that apply to a brazilian 06 xb9sx??
It's labeled International Model...

I just need some easy mods, because it's so hard to get parts around here...

When you look at you ECM connections it is the only white wire on the left side connector.

As Bjorn stated, this is a restriction to enable the bike to pass Euro emmission/noise tests and once removed will result in better throttle response between 3-3500 rpm. It won't give any extra power as such but will certainly iron out the horrendous flat spot that is around that point.

And there's numbers on the connector as well, so just look up the white that's marked number 8! : )

But how will it be if we put on a race ecm? Will the race ecm overrun the restriction that the white wire does or is it a must to remove the white wire anyway?

The ecm is located behind the front fairing on the R model.

There isn't a restriction with the race ecm so if your running the race ecm you can leave the wire alone. (I think ;))

Tinder, if you wish to share your experience with other British based riders, you may care to visit www.ukbeg.com as well as Badweb. The white wire has been discussed there a number of times. Thanks.
