Man, I can't wait to get my fairing mounted and painted and mounted.... So far, I'm leaning towards black, with the lower part of the fairing being white along the same line where you have the Free Spirits text. I want to go with a street racer look, so I'm going to have number plates/markings put on the rear and front as well. I'm going to mold the light portion from this fairing into the front of mine:

Hey everyone my name is Sam I'm a new buell owner as of May 02, 2006. Yesterday I purchased a 2002 Buell X1 White Lightning. A funny story; I walked into a Harley shop looking for a buell. Turns out this store had stopped selling Buell. However they had one left in their garage that they had accidently deleted from their inventory. This worked out awesome for me. I looked at the bike and almost immediately loved it. I bought it with 15 miles brand new it now has 98 miles(117 miles as of today). Could anyone tell me what this rare find could be worth? Will post a pic soon but I'm currently working out on the road and don't have my digital camera. Also I already posted this on the guest book and just realized thats mostly an intro forum and no one really looks at it except new users. Also bads1 the face painted on the front of the firebolt is sweet and very original. |

Welcome to the Fold... I to own a White Lighting X1, The worth on it isn't as much as say a S1 White Lightning, since that had performance upgrades aswell as visual upgrades. Although I get many a looks from people asking how I got my Jap bike to sound like an American Knockoff... lol Enjoy the ride, and do yourself and your "twins" a favor, swap out the seat if you plan on going on any longer rides than 20 miles. |

Misato- Thought you were selling the green XB? IMO one of the nicest Xb"s out there! At the time, I was pondering buying it but bought an XBR instead. |

There she is, haven't named her yet. XB12Ss} had less than 50miles on her when this was taken. We've been through alot together (already, just refer to the XbBoard to see). I don't have much in store for customizations until winter, after which she will emerge as a nearly new bike. if you look closely she isn't completely stock though! Check out that high performance... tailpack. Luckily I was able to buy ALL the BUELL Lightning bags from my friend Vito for a great bargain! |

Sam said "..thats mostly an intro forum and no one really looks at it except new users..." Not so Sam, most of the regulars here use the New Message Search feature to read the board and we see every new post in every forum. Welcome to the BadWeb! Like Garret said, check the Knowledge Vault for everything that has been known to or might go wrong, need tweaking, etc., with a tuber. And don't adjust the drive belt to Buell specs, it will be too tight! If your 2003 is like all the other tubers with CV-40 carbs, the first thing you want to do is to put a larger slow speed jet in it and adjust the low speed mixture to smooth out the low end performance. They are just too lean to run good. Then you want to get the breathers (aka filter oilers/spooge generators) out of the inlet tract. Lots of good info here for a guy that likes to touch his bike. Welcome again! Jack |

I want you guys to check out my 05 XB9SX. I put Black skins on it. I also wrapped my pipes with black wrap. I have since this picture cut off the tail piece and added small LED turn signals. I am taking it next week to do my Exhaust. This bike is so fun to ride. EVERY time I ride it I get people looking at me trying to figure out what it is. It's the best feeling in the world. Especially when I sit at a red light and I am behind a car of guys and I rev the engine slightly. They look in there rear view trying to figure it out. Then when the light turns green I blow by them and leave them in wonder. AHHHH! The beauty of a Buell.
