No. 2004 was the first official production year of the 1203cc motor in the XB frame. They might have been available before 01/01/2004 though. NUTS |

Nuts right you could buy one late summer 2003.... I did. Infact it was probably the first one sold in Wisconsin by a Iowan. |

Same as Glitch here. Very late summer of '03 I got an '04 R. No 12's were "03" models. |

Some people go by the sticker on the frame that says when they were made. The first 12s were indeed 04 models but they were released in July or August of 03 & right there on the frame was the sticker that said what month they were built & (you guessed it) the year (03).
