Looking to make my XB mostly a track bike and need some help with deciding on body fairings. I have seen a couple that were cut for headlights or they were cut after the fact. Would like to be able to still use it on the street occasionally. No carbon please, don't have that much to spend.

You can get fiberglass from Hal's PA with cut-outs for headlights molded in. They're exclusive sellers of the Sharkskinz. They have a cool form-fitting numberplate that covers up the headlight holes very nicely.

If you aren't afraid to cut headlight holes the sebimoto body work sold by Yoyodyne and racingmotorcycles.com
is higher quality stuff than the sharkskinz. We've had both on the race bike. The godfathers racing 'glass is molded
off of sharkskinz racing bodywork. It's inexpensive and it's cheap.

The sebimoto fiberglass bodies have kevlar reinforcment at stress points, and the finish is just all around better.

Here's Yoyodyne.

As you can see if you look at pics of my bike I have nothing against Hal's.
I just feel the skarkskinz bodywork is inferior to the sebimoto.

Hope this helps.

I've seen the stock fairing used with a plate basically shaped as the front fairing that cover up the head light holes. That and get a belly pan. There really is no need for the full set of body work, unless you want that look. I race with guys/girls that run Buells on the track, all but one have the headlight cover and the belly pan. Otherwise stock bodywork, and they're all fast as hell. Especially Paul James. His bike's looks stock. Try contacting Henry Duga at Buell for the belly pan and front plate. Just my
