One word. Fugly. You want to put that on a Buell? Like I always say, If you want to block the wind, get in your cage and roll up the windows. |

I had that same screen on my '83 Honda CB900C. It really helped a lot, but then this bike wasn't much to look at in the first place.

i am not a fashion queen. I like to ride fast, shred twisties and be comfortable on long slab hauls. "looks" should not matter as much as it is showing to do in this thread. If you want "looks" you should be riding some sort of bagger. |

One of the big reasons I have purchased 3 Buell is because of looks. Art is in the eye of the beholder. I have also seen these on the road.

I had a StreetShield similar to that on an old Honda. Clamped on easy, easy to adjust to remove the wind buffeting, worked well. Finally failed after 70,000 miles due to sun fatigue on the support rod sockets plastic cracking and breaking. Similar to these: http://www.motorcyclewindshield.com/streetshield.htm Do what works for you, if someone doesn't like it they can look at something else. |

I have the Streetshield EX on my XB9S. Its slightly larger than the Streetshield but I don't think it too large. It can be removed quickly, but I never take it off. It works to keep the blast off you. I like it and really don't care what other people think. |

I second the Laminar Lip. And I love how it looks too! |

Goozyman, I got one (clear) out in the barn. I had it on for about 8 months. Really worked well for the long slabs. And removing it took 6 seconds!:
This is the only picture I can find right now. The only problem I had was that it blocked so much air, there was nothing to support my upper body. The tankbag loaded down helped, but that wasn't on the bike on all trips. After about 6-7 hours of riding, my back got kinds sore. I am 5'11" if that helps. I keep mine in a KBC helmet bag on the shelf. Let me know how much you can get it for. Shoot me a PM I'll tell ya more about it. JIM ps- as you can see, I can give a shit less what people think my bike looks like, I was enjoying the ride for the most part. (Message edited by u4euh on June 08, 2006) |
