ok, going to pick up my new CityX tomorrow. Having read on here that the new (updated) transmission is supposed to be stronger, smoother, and generally nicer to drive, I specified it in my paperwork. so - do ALL 2006 model year bikes have the new tranny, and the quieter fuel pump, or is there a build date/serial number I should check to make sure the bike is equipped like I'd asked? also as a minor detail - I've noticed a few references to the new Ulysses having the air intake up top, behind the filler cap - is that true for all new models, or just the uly? ( I'll find out which way mine is tomorrow, and its not a big deal - just curious, and anxious to get the new bike!!) |

From what I've seen all 06 models have the new swingarm, tranny, and airbox cover. |

As I understand all 2006 Buells and Sportsters have the new gear box. If it says manufactured in 2006 on the goose neck it should have it. I thought the new improved fuel pump was implemented for the 2005. My 2005 sx is real quiet, My 2004 r is not. |

And they all have that Uly/Ugly cheap looking swing arm instead of the beautiful smooth castings they originally had, and what's up with that "bee hive" oil (crap) cap? What's next, the cheesy "Buell" one piece stamped air box decal? Guess I won't be buying a new one. |

thanks all - probably just me getting nervous after reading Brineusaf's post about getting an 'S', instead of an 'SS' 2 hour drive for me to go get it tomorrow - be a whole lot more fun if I already HAD the bike! |
