I have an X1 Lightning, I was told that the way to go was a Perelli Diablo tire on the rear as I am crumbling Dunlops by the half dozen. The only thing is that when I went looking, I found a Diablo Super sport and a Diablo High mileage Super sport. Which one does the most for the buell bikes. I ride hard and get way down all the time. I need to be sure to buy the right Diablo. Thank in advance fellow buellers. |

I run them and love them. The ones you should look into are the Diablo, Diablo Corsa, and Diablo Super Corsa. Depends on what you want. I run the regluar Diablo for my commutes road trips etc. Never had a slip out of them and the mileage is great! Almost twice the Dunlops (On my bike anyway, 03 XB9R). I just did a trackday and ran the corsas. I weigh 240 lbs and was hammering the throttle at every apex chasing my friend Vinny around on his GSXR. They never slid either. In fact, I believe they saved me when I hit a chuncked spot in turn one! I havn't felt the need for the Super Corsa as for street riding you probably wouldn't get much life at all out of them. Trackday/Race tire... Hope that helps... |

Oh, and if you are a dirt road regular or your roads suck, you could consider the Scorpions too, don't know if they'd fit though? Just a thought... |

I understand now that the D208s are no more, Buell is putting Pirelli Diablo T's on the new 07's. Anyone run a set of them yet? How do they compare to the D208's as far as performance and wear? |
