Bob, I need you help, I found my Header to be cracked today....ouch...what type of welding is required for it? its Force, are those stainless? Oh and for anyone interested the bike and everything else that went with it is for sale, other motor as well. Will trade bike + money for a 04 or newer Black XB12R Did I mention that it needs to be black? | ||

ooops, never start posting, then go do other things and come back. LOL makes ya think you forgot to click the post msg button, SO you do it again and well.... Hey, So we want to get as many people to come to this next Brag meeting as we can, would be great if we could get all the folks in Washington to come as well but I know that is costly and time consuming. I would like to start getting some pictures of people with there bikes. Just like you standing next to the bike, you can be in gear if you like, but please only pictures with no helmet on. I would like to start a collection of our members. Also, if there is anyone who has a digital video camera that accepts video input from another source, I would like to beg, buy, or steal it from ya. If possible I would like a few more helmet camera's as well. The plan is to video as much as possible at splash this year. In fact I might even strap on the camera and preserve some of our entertaining night life. (oh the hours of fun) | ||

what are you looking to get for the Aprilia Deb? Roc should it be easy to weld then? | ||

I think it should be pretty easy. Does a magnet stick to it? The deal would be to refinish it so it would look ok there and not rust. | ||

not sure on the magnet, I'll have to check that one. As for the jet coating, I don't really care about that, I'm going to cover the headers in black wrap. | ||

Branden, Tig welding would be best in iether case. If it's Stainless then S.S. welding wire would be used and the same for Carbon steel. Do you ever get up this way? I am welding Galens also but his looks like a road map. I also have a Buell header hanging in the Garage with lowside scuffs on it. I could send a pic if you,d like. | ||

I am going out to my father in laws house and he is going to tig it up. I have the stock header and the Vance and Hines pipe if it doesnt work out. we shall see how it goes. | ||

Got it welded up. Need to get some DEI Header Wrap and some spray. Anyone have a force intake for an S1? or how about the rear pully and a belt? | ||

Branden, I'm not a big fan of wrapping pipes with header wrap on a Buell. The reason? You can't see a crack starting and by the time you figure it out, your looking at several pieces. Just my 2 cents White Trash Racing is gunna have to go dumpster diving to offset fuel cost's. Bob | ||

Shotgun, He still has to sleep at night. No I stopped advertizing it after I dropped it and cracked the fairing. I think I'll just keep it around for a spare bike and enjoy it some more. | ||

I like the way the wrap looks. I know what you are saying, I thought about it before hand as well. The weld job, isn't really factory looking, so it needs to be covered. If I was to sell it, I would of course disclose the fact that it was repaired. I also have the stock header that would be included in the sale. I know why the header cracked, the mount that comes with the force system broke right at the bolt hole, like last time. Within a few days of riding the bike the header had cracked almost half the way around. If I could get pictures down to the right size for here I would post pics. How much you want for the Triumph Bob, wanna another S1? for old times? | ||

For anyone interested I am looking at going to the Hells Canyon Motorcycle Rally It on the 19th-22nd of this month in Baker City Oregon. Here is a link to the website http://www.hellscanyonrally.com/ As long as I get my bike up and running I will be attending this. Also Everyone from Badweb is invited to come and stay with me in baker. My Grandmother lives there and has room for like 5 of us indoors and up to 30+ people if they want to camp out in the back acre. This is supposed to be a huge ride with close to 3k people. Let me know if anyone is interested, or if any of you are already planning on going. | ||

Hooligan, My brother and I will be going. We haven't made any plans for Fri. eve in Baker. We will be carrying gear for tent camping. When the date gets closer we can get in touch and maybe we will take you up on the "back acre" thing. Sounds like a good time. I dont know mig from tig, but before I went out to his house, I told him it needed to be Tig welded and he said no problem he had one, so......Ya know how it goes, ya think you are doing the right thing and for me it just never seems to be the case, I just seem to make the wrong move every time. | ||
