I've tracked a nasty oil leak to the oil pressure indicator switch. This is the little plug directly above where the oil return line from the oil cooler connects to the filter. The switch has a lot of free play in the plug, and there doesn't really seem to be any way to tighten it. Has anyone else dealt with this before? Thanks, Nate |

Yep. Took the dealer 5 tries to get it repaired. I finally noticed where the leak was coming from, pointed it out to them and they replaced it. It was initially hard to find because it was just a hairline crack in the top of it (we're assuming a rock or something jumped up and hit it), and wouldn't leak until the bike got up to operating temperature. My problem sounds a little different, as mine wasn't loose, it was physically damaged. I don't have a part number or anything, it was all handled under warranty. |

Yup........mine had to be replaced, too. I noticed that we all have a 2003 XB9S. Probably not a coincidence. I've got a feeling that's it was a faulty part. My dealership replaced right away the first time. I was on the road in less than an hour. -Brad |
