I need to build a breakout box for diagnoisis of my XB9r. How difficult is it to build one? Is it just like running a straight wire thru a box with little connectors coming of them? Anyone built one? Where do I get the HD/Buell connectors? |

A simple way to build a breakout box and does not cost alot of money is to use a bread board kit from radio shack. A bread board kit is one of those white boards with a bunch of holes in them. You can use standard phone wire for the jumper wire ti use in the bread board or you can purchase the pre done wires from radio shack. Link on how to use a bread board http://www.iguanalabs.com/breadboard.htm A simple way to check cables or circuits by wiring through the bread board. Have a great day |

the plugs are deutsch connectors. http://www.deutschipd.com/Products/DT_Series/dt_series.html They can be sourced from electrical supply houses. |

Looks to be one of the best places to buy them, cheapest: Batts Racing and Deutschconnector http://www.deutschconnector.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?cartlink=index.html |

I read a thread on here and DAVES said he could get it for $370. I can make one for around $100 probably. The engineer in me is wanting to tinker. |
