After 9 years of lusting from afar, 7 years or so on BadWeb, 3 years after my first Buell test ride, I finally brought one home. A 2005 City X, zero miles, all glistening new....even if it is last year's model .

Break-in's a PITA though, huh? Sigh, so close, yet so far away, she's begging me to play up the the 6K region, but I'm being good right now.

Glad to finally be a full fledged member

Ride it like you stole it! I would/did take it easy for about the first 200. Then enjoy.

If you do the ride it like you stole break in, you will want to check your oil a little more often.

Still riding my 97S3T and waiting to get an XB "SOMETING" !!!

If "i" could get BMC to buy it back to find out what they did wrong in that it
has lasted this long as in THE TOP END has
never been off ... It would make the down payment ???
