I'm sure I'm not the only guy here who uses Battery Tenders--I've had a couple of them for about 5 years, but right before Christmas I managed to blow one up. Never mind how, let's just say that a 1.5 amp charger won't really spin the starter on a high-compression Ducati with a flat battery. I should mention that this particular unit had been kicked around on the floor of Road_Thing's Garage like a soccer ball; in fact, the corners were rounded off and much of the paint was gone. I mean, it looked BAD! Anyway, I sent the poor mistreated thing and a check for $15 back to Deltran for repair, and, in today's mail, I got a brand new (well, maybe rebuilt, but it sure as hell isn't the same unit I sent them) Battery Tender, complete with a new pigtail and extra set of clips! Pretty good service-they turned it around in one week, during the Christmas holiday, and made me a very happy camper! Anybody who needs a battery charger (which is everybody with a motorcycle) ought to buy from these guys! r-t |

OK, I got the Handy stands and I love the rear one. I'm apparently not smart enough to use the front one, though. I have a 2000 M2, and the holes in the bottom of my forks don't line up with the stand. The stand seems to be a half inch or so wider. Was I supposed to order a special front stand? Probably OK to just bend it in? TIA, J.D. |
