Bob just read a blurb that your 2002 speed triple in roulette green is one of three in the US. That makes it more rare than the 6 Daytonas in red for 2002. Now it's 2003 and no one will no since the new model year is upon us. Tell the wife to take care of that paint. It might not seem cool to you but I think having a bike built the same date as the factory fire is unique. Check for smoke damage and ride on. Mike | ||

Mike, My brother inlaw just bought a 99 1200 Daytona. Ya I know they didn't make a 1200 Daytona in 1999. Thats what I thought too. (They Did though ) They made 100 of them as special edition model and he got # 33 of 100. It has 3300 miles on it and is in mint condition. he paid $5000 for it. Last July I bought a Sprint RS. Triumph has only sold about 16 of them in the U.S. in the last five years. Does that mean I've got a collectors item too? I suppose it could mean that I just bought a bike that NOBODY else wants at any price. | ||

Deb, good idea for the ride. We have to decide the dates. I will have to put in for the Friday off. I also will have to check and see how much time I have to take off. Thurs may be tuff to get. But I can always leave here right after work. (3:30) I am learning to do alot of things right handed! Chris was out wrenching on the Suz yesterday. He put on new handle bars, and did some other repairs. After getting out and really looking at the Suz she is not all that bad. Some of the damage will have to stay for now. But she will be back on the road soon. I put a good dent and scratch in the gas tank, OUCH! That will be there for awhile! We went out looking for a new helmet Saturday. I really am most comfortable with the HJC CL-12's but would'nt you know it they are discontinued and replaced with the CL-14's. If anyone knows where I can find a HJC CL-12 "Streetfighter" XS please let me know. STC meeting Tuesday right? Loni | ||
