It really isn't any different and I really don't care either. Just makes some of us small-town folks pause for a second and say "Holy crap!" |

Personally, I could see renting out a room or two so that I could be around and supervise, so to speak. I just couldn't imagine handing someone a key to my house for a week, walking away saying "Have a good time" and trusting all to be well when I got back. But if someone else wants to do it, more power to them. |

Yep, sometimes it's nice to be a local and get to sleep in your own bed as you listen to the continuous passings of riders heading to their respective rental beds. Should be interesting for me this year as I'm now located just a few blocks from one of the local participating dealerships. Of course this also means I may have to go dig the leghold traps out of the storage locker to sprinkle around the garage at night so's I can get some sleep as well. I would get an X-Cam, but I hate their popup windows. I think maybe I'll set up a lemonaid stand on the corner of the driveway open from 7am-9am daily, with coffee served from a vacuum pump thermos bungied to the seat of the Buell on my way to work, 5cents a cup if you get it without my having to stop and don't spill any on the tailsection. |

Exactly when is the Harley 100th, as I want to be out of there when the riders start comming in. Ezblast we have to be two of the craziest Buell riders to even attempt this one. I am real excited to this, despite the fact its 7 mths away. Lake, Did you get my e-mail on your survey, please let me know. |

Newf, Check the HOG NorthEast tour route. If you enter or exit Wisconsin from the north you won't cross their route as this year it seems they are avoiding the Mac.... Bridge (sp?). During the 95th it seems as though a lot of riders wanted their bikes transported across the bridge for them, something to do with wind and bridge sway. Most of the main rides will get to Wisconsin between Monday-Wednesday, with the bulk of the riders getting into town either Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon of August 26th-27th, with many more trickling in over the evening of August 27th through Saturday morning (for those who couldn't get time off work, or went to Sturgis instead and are making Milwaukee a weekend gig). If you leave Wisconsin on Sunday August 24th you can tell all the incoming riders that Wisconsin is closed due to road construction and bridge rebuilding (not that anyone would either say such a thing, or would believe such a thing). Hey, if you head back to Detroit with the MI contingent you can hang out at the Windsor tunnel and listen to all the Harley's heading in from Canada and points eastward. |

Mike, the poor guy's probably not even going to be able to walk after the ride he's taking and now you're trying to make him go deaf too? Seems to me that's just plain mean. I know what you mean about being local, too. I'm about 7 miles from the fairgrounds that BadS1 put up the link on and other's place is a matter of blocks. Union Grove is a pretty small town so it'll be interesting to see how it holds up when it's all said and done. |

BREAKING NEWS Just finalized the deal for the host hotel and banquet. HOTEL We have the Day's Inn Riverside in Racine as the host hotel. They're offering a $69/night room rate. The hotel has a lounge & restaurant on property. There is also another family restaurant next door. According to my Racine local (BadS1), they have great breakfast. You will be able to start making your room reservations by the end of this week. I just need to complete some paperwork for with the hotel. They've also agreed to have a bike wash area on property at no additional cost. As a side note: There are NOT any rooms available for the 100th at this hotel. Please don't ask to extend your stay. BANQUET The Thursday night banquet will be at Infusino's. It's a restaurant/banquet hall about 1 block from the hotel. I haven't finalized the menu but it will DEFINATELY be no more than $25. Now that this is done, I can focus on my real job for awhile. Mennis |

Infusinos is good. You will not leave hungry & most dinner items are dirt cheap. Good choice. Location may be a little confusing for out of towners, but thats what maps are for. |

Also, anyone interested splitting a room to help with costs, if so e-mail me over the next day or so. Either that or we can ALL stay with Dyna, hehehe, the hell with the maps Dyna the tour guide. |

Since I'm here catching up I thought I would post an overhead picture that was in the Kenosha News Sunday of the new Uke's showroom since we are hosting the 20th Send off party. Trust me this is just a small piece of the dealership they just opened last Tuesday.

Do you know if the B-Trax will be part of the Wisconsin series or a separate event? I know it's not part of the National series. |

Probably. I just checked the battletrax site and no update on the series. Also no link to any Illinois dealers that I noticed. Hmmm, if this works out maybe we'll get the fresh Brats and dogs before the HOG runners ride into town. |
