a) 1 muffler 1 race ecm 1 airfilter
b) As Microsoft would say: it's plug & play or straight bolt on. c) Re-calibrate the throttle position sensor (Message edited by Galloper on April 02, 2006) |

Requires a TPS reset. Chadhargis did a nice write-up on his installation. You can search Badweb for it. |

Is there a specific race kit for the Uly or is it the same kit for all XB's. |

I've had one since new, October 2005 and although wishing I had more throttle control at low speeds (off-road) now find that a different throttle/clutch/brake technique has solved most of my problems! The joy of the response and sound from the race kit make up for any problems! An off-road excursion with passenger and 40kg of gear on a 200kg 1200cc bike with limited steering lock was never going to be easy! |

daveS - I'm still waiting for a confirm on the financing for my XB9 CityX, and I've got some odd plans for it that I dont want screwed up by parts becoming NLA ( think downsized Ulysses / Lightning Supermoto, and you'd be close..) Is it possible to buy JUST the race ecm, and if so, how much? thanks chris PS: kudos guy - you're name has come up in every 'where do I get Buell parts' post I've researched. |

Chadhargis - Do I remember you posting on advrider that the race kit improved the low speed performance (idle to ~2500 RPM)? |

Check here for what he wrote... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/180026.html?1141504199 What he wrote is partly responsible for why I now have a race kit as well. Thanks Chad! |

Dave: 1. What are the ramifications of using the race ecm without the race muffler? 2. Does the ecm go away when the race kit is discontinued? Still considering the Uly and wondering if I need to order the race kit as insurance in case I go with the Uly? Thanks, Doug PS You guys have fun at the event! Maybe next time for me! |
