Ok,

I am wondering who all here uses your Buell everyday driving? I mean for pleasure and daily commute to work. If so, how many miles your avg per day?

I am planning to use mine as a daily driver. my commute time a day just back and forth to work is 50 miles, 5-days a week. Am I crazy?

So it looks like the Buell 'ers day off will not be much. lol

..as soon as the weather breaks for good..I'll probably use mine 2-3 days a week..about 25 miles round trip..

I've had it here at the office a couple times already..great way to release the stress of the day before getting home!

I ride my bike any day it's not going to be ugly weather wise. Sometime I fill up in the morning and have to hit a gas station on the way home.

Yes I love the bike that much that I would ride enough to use a full tank a day

Three tanks of fuel tomorrow! I will still have a little left when I get home but not much. Riding to the Crest and back from San Bernardino. 280 miles of going to fast.

I ride about 40 miles a day to and from work, virtually any "reasonable" weather (mostly above freezing, no Blizzards or severe T-storms, if I can help it!)- about 9 months a year. Also use it for as many pleasure rides and errand running as family commitments allow- a bit tough to transport both kids at the same time, though!

Went from a 9S to a 12R this year- The fairing makes a MUCH bigger difference than I would have imagined! Still a great commuter/ attitude adjuster/ etc!

I ride every day. I live about four miles from work, but have put just under 20K on the bike in two and a half years anyway.

At my last job I was able to ride to work almost every day when the weather permitted. That ride was ~14 miles each way and I would often ride home for lunch, so that was ~50 miles a day. I was having a blast then, would show up to work with a little adrenaline flowing, pumped and ready to go. Other than the flat strip down the center of the rear tire due to the highway jaunt I had no problems with the commute.

Now my commute is 9 miles of boring divided highway with zero enjoyable corners along the way. It's not nearly as much fun as it used to be. Even still, I ride in when I can (4 days this week) and it's better than taking the car.

Every day it doesn't snow and some days when it does.
4.8 miles one way, home for lunch, about 20 miles per day, 5 days a week, split between 2 bikes. +20,000 miles on the bikes last year, and only 1,400 on my truck!

I only live about 3 miles from work, but I ride every day that it isn't supposed to rain. It definitely makes the daily grind a little less grindy, especially taking the long way home.

I live real close to work so I ride whenever I can.
On bad weather days, I make a judgement call. If I get burned, I only have 4 miles of rain to deal with.

I will ride to work 2-3 days a week, weather permitting. I have about 50 miles, with 35 of them being twisty mountain roads (I can do it in 45 miles with the majority of them being divided hiway/slab, so I will take the long way). On the days I need to let of some steam, I take the real long way home (120+ miles).

I ride to work year round as long the roads are clear and no threat of freezing rain or snow. I 30 mile round trip to work plus into town at lunch time is another 5 to 10 miles. I average about 1100 miles a month.

64-mile round trip. Spring and fall I can go 6+ weeks w/o taking the car (which is how I can get away with leasing).
On super-hot summer days, super cold (below 30) winter days and any snow/real bad weather day I don't ride.

Whole way to work is 4-6lane interstate until I'm 1 mile from work, but the last mile mostly makes up for it ;)
Normally no traffic in the morning and only moderate traffic at night (stop and go for 2 miles, adds 10min to the ride home)

I ride as much as possible and as my work locations change often, I run from 50-180 miles a day. In the summer I don't mind being wet as long as I make it to work Dry. I sometimes ride to work everyday. for weeks.

I ride about 2-3 days a week on my 9R, about 30 miles round trip. I can ride year-round here in Fla, but in the summer I usually don't ride to work. I hate getting caught in those daily late-afternoon thunderstorms. It gives "bad-weather biker" a whole new meaning.

I rode mine every day rain but mostly shine 90 miles round trip,Until Nov, then is was just too cold most days. Most of the commute is hwy and the last 10 miles is a nice winding road. By next week it should be warm enough to start riding daily again.

The only down side is tryin' to pack the laptop and my workout gear with me.

I look forward to my 30 mile commute because of my Buell. Getting to and from work gives me my fix. Know what I mean?

44 miles each way 2-3 times a week as long as the starting temp is over 40' and no rain...with the price of gas maybe more.

I ride every day unless it snows or pours freezing rain. Both very rare occurrences here. Cold is not an issue as the coldest morning this year was 12 degrees and bone dry.

if its above 40 degrees, and less than 20% chance rain, i ride the 4 miles to work. plus there's much better parking for motorcycles than cars : )

i know, pansy. but i'm luck to have several toys to play with and i've gotten to the point where it doesnt "have" to be unenjoyable when i play.

Yeah, I forgot about the parking aspect. I get to use covered motorcycle only parking right by the building. With a security guard no less.
