G2 Sorry to hear you're having to miss out. It's OK though, Spring has just begun. Get Dad taken care of (all the best to him) and when you get some time off, a long weekend, or if you just feel like ridin' down, we'll meet up with ya. Tell your Dad, we're all praying for his quick recovery. |

(I'm sitting here daily waiting for Glitch to explode with anticipatory excitement as the days count down to liftoff of this event. Somehow I think his front tire will have less than half the miles of his rear tire by the time this event is over.) Wish I could be there, sounds like it's going to be a great event. |

Mike, you are correct, sir. I've not had this much time off work, since I started here five years ago, I get to hang out and ride with my best fiends, AND I don't have to go home for six days! SIX DAYS!!!

Ok, a thought just occurred to me. You guys know Sunday 4/2 is the time change to Daylight savings time, right? That means we turn the clocks ahead an hour at 02:00am. That means we either a) lose an hour of partying, or 2) lose an hour of sleep. But on the up side, no one shows up for morning Demos on time! |

M2 I think I would really like to have a Uly. First things first. Get better and try and get some confindence back and then save the money to get one. |

MR - You know after I lost it on ice on the Uly, I had to jump on the M2, just as soon as my ankle and toe would let me (12 days), just to get me back in the saddle. It really helped. Though I was going a little slower and did not hit anything, I know the feeling of loosing the front end with no warning. I have to say it will stick with you. I consider myself a more rounded rider now knowing what it feels like to just loose the front end. I have hit sand and gravel before around blind curves and had to correct my line to recover the bike and get back in my lane before I get to the on-coming car. But in those incidences I still had enough control to do something. When I hit that ice in the intersection I could not see it. I leaned over to turn onto the next road, got about half way through the intersection and then the next thing I knew the horizon was vertical. I could do nothing about it. My recommendation is to get back in the saddle just as soon as you feel up to it. The Uly is a great bike too. It is by far the best all around motorcycle I have ever ridden and great for two up riding. I find myself cruising the bike more than the M2. The more relaxed riding position and more compliant suspension helps you just enjoy the ride. After our last C3 meeting, five of us rode some back roads around here. As we approached the tight stuff I adjusted the rear preload on the fly since I still had it soft for the interstate run to Daytona. As we hit the curves the Uly hung in there with two XB12R and XB9S. That was with the trunk on the bike.
Get well and can't wait to meet you at T.W.O this Saturday. You will see four of the five bikes in the picture above there for MBIII (Message edited by M2nc on March 25, 2006) |

Hey black sunshine, I'am not sure of the meaning of the squid ,but you can explain when I see ya. Is there room to camp at TWO for this event ? Is there any local rooms around or at this point floor space. Could be cold and wet at night. P.S. Yuengling is the beer up here in the east. Limited space on the bike , should I bring a tent or beer? |

Priorities Twintour....Priorities! Bring the Beer! There is camping at TWO. All the local rooms are booked. We won't leave you out in the wet. I'm sure we can find some floor space if it comes down to it. Seeing how you are coming from Maryland and all. |

Hey Dudes, I can't make it to MBIII since I have to fly up to Bristol, but it appears that my route back on Friday flies me directly over Suches. If you guys see a metallic black Bell Helicopter really, really low, send up a flare. I can't even find this city on the VFR sectional, but I will be looking!!! Thanks Stan |
