Talked to a buddy of mine that has a road king and he said have you tried the new harley oil yet? I was like the syn3 and his reply was no, harley has out a new blend of semi synthetic which can be used for the engine oil and primary(trans) oil. I said nope have yet to try this stuff. He said he was using syn3 in the tranny and he didn't like the clutch feel. He then switched to amsoil which gave him better response and now he's using the harley semi-synthetic in both. Harley states the oil change periods are longer w/new oil blend. Any feedback on this? |

i am assuming he is talking about formula+ that is going to be your only other option besides syn3, hd eliminated sports trans and also the primary and tranny lube for the big twins and thats going to take the place of all of them. we dont have much of the old stuff left and when its gone people will have the option of syn3, formula+, and the regular 20/50 hd oil for everything and thats it. |
