I was hoping we would take a ride down to Manhattan this summer myself. It is only about an hour and 45 minutes away. |

I would be interested in something like that. We can play it by ear as it gets better out. Looks like you all had a great time in daytona. I had a great time here my place to, we got blasted in the storm. Hail damage on two cars and the roof. No big deal. Have to have you all out next time the weather allows, I think we need some 50s to help break in the new block. It is about a nice 20min ride out to that biker bar off of 24 / 40 in lawrence the smokeout or something like that. |

Fester, Did they rename that bar? I thought it was called the Slow Ride Saloon. Very biker friendly place. |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Bikes washed...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHA....HA.... um, oh yeah, I think we did...not me personally but it got cleaned......again.....but not by me... not that I have anything against that kind of thing, some people have order in their lives.....I guess I am fortunate to have friends that can't stand to be seen with the "dirty" bike riding kind... I should travel with these guys more often! |

I don't know about you guys but all this racing has got me motivated. I talked to Greg Avello (Fusa21) and he is going to be at Heartland Park Topeka on June 16-18th for the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) Championship Cup Series. He is one of the Buell Racers featured on Buell's website and we were lucky enough to meet and hang out with him in Daytona. As you might know, HPT is completely revamped with a newly paved track and they have lots of track days scheduled this year. From their website: TOPEKA, Kan. (Feb. 28, 2006) – For road racers that prefer two wheels instead of four, the 2006 season at Heartland Park Topeka will provide ample opportunities to get on track. With new amenities and ultra-smooth asphalt, motorcycle riders will find that the improvements made at the track have transformed the facility, and have also made Heartland Park Topeka motorcycle-friendly. The professional riders of the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) are on-track June 16-18, with a Heartland Park sponsored test day set for June 15. ASRA marks the first professional motorcycle road racing event at Heartland Park Topeka since 2003. The weekend will also include Championship Cup Series (CCS) Midwest and Great Plains regional racing. CCS racers are back at Heartland Park Topeka Aug. 5-6, with a Heartland Park test day set for Aug. 4. In addition to the ASRA and CCS dates, Heartland Park Topeka has partnered with Visionsports Riding Schools to provide instruction during six open track days. The Heartland Park Track Days include April 10, May 8, June 14, July 17, Sept. 11, and Oct. 23. Interested riders can sign up now at www.hpt.com. Sportbike Track Time (STT) will also provide limited endurance days and riding instruction on May 13 and Aug. 7, and a riding school June 24-25. STAR Motorcycle School will be at Heartland Park Topeka July 10-11. The 2006 motorcycle season at Heartland Park Topeka concludes with the Northeast Sportbike Association (NESBA) Nov. 4-5. A complete list of motorcycle events is below. April 10: HPT Motorcycle Track Day/Visionsports Riding School May 8: HPT Motorcycle Track Day/Visionsports Riding School May 13: Sportbike Track Time Motorcycle School June 14: HPT Motorcycle Track Day/Visionsports Riding School June 15: HPT Motorcycle Test Day June 16-18: American Sportbike Racing Association National (ASRA), Championship Cup Series (CCS) Great Plains/Midwest Regional June 24-25: Sportbike Track Time Motorcycle School July 10-11: STAR Motorcycle School July 17: HPT Motorcycle Track Day/Visionsports Riding School August 4: HPT Motorcycle Test Day August 5-6: Championship Cup Series (CCS) August 7: Sportbike Track Time Motorcycle School September 11: HPT Motorcycle Track Day/Visionsports Riding School October 23: HPT Motorcycle Track Day/Visionsports Riding School November 4-5: Northeast Sportbike Racing Association I am seriously considering getting involved, so let me know if anyone is interested. Maybe we could all go try it together. Drake |

Kandie, we also had a great time being able to hang with you and Dave...(I think my friend Tracy has a little crush on you) We rinsed the bikes Sat. morning at Sam's aunt and uncles house..(Sam wanted no part in that due to his aversion to water) You guy's need to take trip here some weekend..Maybe we can convince Dave to come down for a track day when we get the new BRAG chapter up and runin'....Don't forget you promised to hook me up with an E.B. autograph.. Keep me posted on the B.R.A.G. chapter. You guys were awesome. You saw I posted a pic of the 4 KANSAS tags? HPT is (or was) a great place to ride, lots of great memories. When Dave Schmidtlein, the contractor who built it, was doing the dirt work for the original construction, myself and another Buell owner spent a day with dirt bikes on some of the most amazing piles of dirt you've ever seen. Several years later I did the lights there for the drag strip. Maybe I shoulda kept the suite, eh? Be safe and let me know how the B.R.A.G. moves along! Court |

Anything planned for this weekend? I see that Central is having their open house this weekend. I think there is something going on in Westport I heard on the Rock or something. Not sure about that, or if it would be worth the hassle. I guess the big thing is if the weather will be decent, from what I have heard it is not looking promising. Zeus-while I was out on Saturday my forks leaked a little bit. Is that normal for the forks to bleed some? |
