Any computer geeks out there? I am replacing my home desktop computer after 8 years of faithful service. The HDD is still good, so I got an external drive enclosure so I can use the 10 GB drive for extra storage from the new laptop. Anyway, I accidentally deleted (and dumped from the recycle bin) some spreadsheet files I'd like to have back. I got 3 of 5 files back by using a shareware program for just this purpose, but it is not working with the other 2 files. One is the maintenance/upgrade log for my XB9S; the other is the maintenance log for my pickup; so it is not a matter of life or death. The pickup log is listed in the recovery program but the file is corrupted when it is recovered; the XB file isn't even listed. Just wondered if there are any tricks of the trade to try before giving up. Thanks, Bill |

http://www.recover4all.com/ It ain't cheap, but it works and works good. Can even find and recover previous versions of files. I tried several others and finally had to pony up purchase Recover4all because they simply did not work or not nearly as well... |

Thanks, Midknyte. I'll try the evaluation version to see if my files show up. Bill |
