My set up is as follow: I picked up a catch can at a Harley Dealer and then started gathering parts so that others could easily copy it if needed. I used Buell parts where I could so it would look as factory as possible. -Kuryakyn universal catch can pn # 9931 -Oil Cooler Stabilizer Bracket PN# L0077.02A8 -3/4 Cushioned Clamp PN# C0529.M -Washer 6mm x 13mm PN# B0613.1Z -Allen Head Mounting Screw PN# AA0405.2CXZB -1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 Nylon Barb Tee (Lowes) The install is very clean and I am very happy with the result. I had to enlarge the oblong hole in the bracket that I ordered so that the through bolt that is used on the Kuryakyn catch can will slide through. I simply used a Dremel and a metal bit to enlarge the hole (be careful not to remove too much). The bracket, clamp, washer and screw are the same parts that secure the oil cooler to the black bar on the left side of the engine on 2003-2005 model Buells (2006 is different). I also trimmed the length of the vent hoses from the rocker boxes to the tee fitting for better fitment. I bought the Buell parts from Dave S, The Catch can can be ordered by any dealer. The nylon tee can be bought at any hardware store. The bottom portion of the catch can unscrews and can be emptied (see pics). The top portion is vented but I am not able to get a good pic due to glare. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e349/Speedfreaks101/CatchCan007.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e349/Speedfreaks101/CatchCan008.jpg The catch can will cost about 25.00 Buell parts set me back 17.56 Nylon tee was about 2.00 So you end up with a catch can for under 50.00 Later, Bart (Message edited by Speedfreaks101 on March 12, 2006) |
