I was riding my Firebolt XB12R the other day and when i was starting it it was idling low. so i read up in my manual and saw an idler adjuster...thing is i can't find it on the bike. another thing is, it was only about 50 degrees out and the fan kept running. i had on been riding about 20 minutes at 60 mph. i thought that was akward since these bikes run best hot. anyone please help with this.

Look at your left side airscoop, from the front of the bike. To the left of the air scoop you will see a small dial that requires a allen wrench(might be a torx bit?). That is your idle screw. As far as the fan goes, how many miles do you have on the bike? I know for the first 1000 or so miles, my fan ran all the time. Now I can barely make it come on.

Off the top o my craw, I *think* your idle speed should be 1050 to 1100 rpm (someone please correct me if I am wrong).

If you idle speed is running below that, it will make your engine run hotter (and your fan run more...).

The Buell Bible sez idle should be 1050-1150 rpm for the 2005 models!

WOOPS-I stand corrected-that Bible is for the 2005 Lightning models. I sure hope it is the same for the Firebolts!

My apologies for the lack of clarity in my post!
