I installed the d&d muffler, and the race ecm recently. I got the VDSTS to do the afv/tps reset. I looked for a keyspan adapter but couldn't find one, so I tried one then two different ones to no avail (even put my desktop outside and connected it to the serial, no luck). Anyways, I have to look for a Keyspan tomorrow, but if I can't find one...big Q: Can I ride the bike without resetting the afv and tps with these mods. Will anything bad happen. Will the engine blow up? Will leprechauns fall from the sky? Just wondering. |

you would be better off to pop in the stock ecm and ride with that till you get what you need to reset the race ecm. |

It's not exactly a cd, it takes a little more to do that, and it seems to add wear and tear every time I take a panel off. If anything I would think the race ecm would be better than the stock ecm with the new exhaust, but I don't know s*, so.... But pending further info, I will just not ride...which sucks. Hey, I thought the ecm "learns", maybe not, I don't know. |

i know i have installed lots of ECMs on buells. but the new Race ECM has no idea where closed is on the TPS it may run but it will run like CRAP. it will not learn where closed is. it has to be zeroed. |

Thank you for the info. Now I know what I have to do, thanks. Maybe I can find a Keyspan adapter on the street or something tomorrow, they are like unicorns around here.... |
