Hello and thanks for all the replies.
Unfortunately because I am so anal about the condition of my machines I need to limit my search to bikes that can be viewed and thoroughly inspected before purchase. This effectively narrows down my field to Va. and surrounding states (unless someone wants to ship before payment which I kind of doubt LOL!)

A limited budget negates my ability to get even a one way ticket. All funds are needed to cover cost of buying the machine as well as tax and title. Sorry but money don't grow on trees LOL!

"Sorry but money don't grow on trees LOL" so true. But if you find a bike thats 500-1000 less than other bikes then a 150 plane ticket will still save you money.

I flew to Ohio from Ga and bought an S1w a few years back. I sold a BMW r1100sa to a guy who rode a bus from Texas to GA! that was a 24hr bus ride

So some times to get a deal you have to put in some effort. Also m2's have been selling real cheap. I watched a 2002 m2 with low miles sell for 3g on ebay.
