Does any one know of a small luggage rack for the Hepco Becker/Uly top box? Thanks. |

Go here and look at the Topcase 40. It's the same as the Uly bags. If you scroll down you'll see that there is a luggage rack listed. http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/frameset.php You can look here too http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com/forms/Query.cfm?do=query&new_query=yes&q_string=&q_producttype=46H&q_manufacturer=all&q_brand=all (Message edited by thesmaz on March 15, 2006) (Message edited by thesmaz on March 15, 2006) |

Just ordered a top rack & 1 sidebag liner from Eurotech Motor Sports. Spoke with a guy named Chris who seemed very familiar with the Uly's luggage system. Sold me a top rack for $77 (list is $93)& the side bag liner for $69 (list is $73). He sugjested that by using the liner that maybe I won't be as likely to suffer another latch failure due to overstuffing the sidebag. We'll see. It's being shipped today & I should see it on Monday. Fast service. Thanks for the link Themaz. |

Debueller, no problem! I had those links handy because I've been looking to get a set of the bag liners. Just be sure that you get them all the way into the cases; Daves mentioned that one of the guys who suffered a broken latch thinks that he mat have gotten the liner caught as he was closing the cases when his latch broke. let me know how you like the top rack; I've thought about getting one but was concerned about the load rating for the top box. |

I'll try to post some photos after I get it installed. I plan to only use it for carrying my leather jacket when during the day when it can be very warm. While touring I plan to also use it to haul bulky items like beverages (read: beer) or small amounts of firewood from a local store to a camp spot. During these times I will probably be temporally overloading the top box. Normally the rack will be empty and used only for back-up capacity. |
