Is there a way to tell by looking if a tuber has Thunderstorm heads on it? |

Not before it's finished. Well, at least not until it's finished for now. That might be a few weeks yet, but that's ok because we've at least one more major cold snap in the UK before riding season. Keep watching. Rocket |

Buellistic: the inlet "culverts" where will you run them? they are going to point up through the gas tank, and may "hit the cross member", on the frame. Shoot you know we just want the whole bike with a "light kit for indurance racing" hey Rocket What RT said! (Message edited by oldog on February 27, 2006) |

It would be an injustice to all my hard work if I were to sell my hard work short! Be patient and do's you're told. We were actually discussing the paint scheme today but my painting mate is telling me he's not happy with my idea. Yes he's moaned about it for ages too but I'm convinced it will work. It's a tough choice for me because the overall theme will inhibit an easy change back to a more 'normal' theme if I decide I don't like the way my idea turns out once I see it in paint finished. The detail isn't difficult but the mathematics involved in my design are not easy to calculate at all. The maths will be the key to making it work. By math I'm referring to geometry of course. Think of it like this. When those twin stripes were placed on the Shelby Mustang, who decided how wide they should be? Would they look better placed right down the middle, or better offset? Tough choices, even for two simple stripes. No I am not striping my Buell. That's just an example of what I'm up against, but my problem is ten times more difficult. Stay tuned. Rocket |

ROcket -- I'm sure you've already thought of this, but how about gening up a digital facsimile of your scoot with the paint job you desire -- altering the math and paint would be much easier in a virtual manner than in reality me, I've always had the idea floating in the back of my head to painbt a scoot in the Dazzle Cammo that WW1 Naval vessels used -- that would be fun |

Bomber, already got it done on computer but it's two dimensional. Hopefully this Friday we're taping up the bike to see how it looks in the flesh. Good thing about tape, you can apply it and remove it until you get it somewhere near how you want it to look in paint. Rocket |

My design / idea is already causing problems with my friend who's applying the paint. Too much controversy involved already, and we've not even got to mock-up stage yet Rocket |
