Well, here is my first crack at the Hornets nest. I don't mean to harm or upset anyone here. I only want to share my personal experience and view. I just want to say that Kevin Drum knows his business and makes the best product I have seen yet for a Buell Motorcycle. Sure there are alot of wonderful pipe makers and fabricators out there and most of them are excellent and turn out a great products!! But, if you want to pull out the stops Kevin is the one to see.

I was next in line for a Drummer SS and I had to go up to NC for some business so I stopped in to meet Kevin. Well, Kevin dropped everything he was doing just to talk to me. After a little while there we were building MY pipe!! Yea, that's right, I got to help build my own pipe. Freaking amazing. I saw first hand what goes into these things and I am here to tell you that it is alot of freaking work. Downright amazing!! Kevin manipulates everything from the raw material into a finished product. We worked well into the night and when we were done this is what was left...

The performance gain is astounding and the sound is ominous. I can't believe the difference in my bike. Subjective opinion? Maybe. Man jewelery with a kick... Definitely!! No I don't have a dyno sheet and I don't want one... What I do have is a streetable kick in the pants made by an American by hand. Kevin is really cool and straight up.

My feelings exactly....

Kevin is one heck of a Buell enthusiast, an awesome person to deal with, a master craftsman, and has a passion about his work and product that is second to none. He’ll probably never get rich doing business the way he chooses to do it, but he will make a lot of people happy and a good number of friends in the process. My hat’s off to him.

‘Man jewelry with a kick’....yeah, exactly!

Yeah, the SS looks better with the chin fairing on that. Sure helps a lot with the look of the City X.

I have a standard Drummer right now. In my opinion the performance is outstanding! So much so that I have a SS Drummer on order! Additionally, Kevin provides outstanding craftsmanship and customer service and is just one heck of a nice guy. With 100% confidence I would highly recommend a Drummer exhaust to anyone!

Will the SS support mounting of the chin fairing now? Also, can you order one and have the dealer put it on without having to ship the old pipe?

Kevin make brackets for the chin fairing and the SS is made from scratch so you can do whatever you want with your old muffler.

Drift - That's correct, and Kevin will trade a chin spoiler mounting bracket for your old stock pipe if you wish.

There are several great mufflers out there for folks to choose from. The Drummer difference is that they are made in America by American hands for Buell riders by Buell riders. All of our products are made right here in the USA and we test and use them all on our very own bikes. In addition to the emotional aspect, our mufflers produce torque and horsepower gains that rank among the best that money can buy.

wow these are very persuasive arguments. I personally have the buell race kit, but I find it to be too quiet and "whiffy" and to be honest I didnt really notice any increase in power.

My birthday is coming up... hmmm SS.... hmmm

I first had the race kit installed and did not really like it. The power gains were to high in the RPM range. It was great if you rode the bike like you hated it. I switched to the Drummer and the bike pulls hard from idle to redline. You will love it!

It would be interesting to see what goes on in a Drummer. Obviously, there is more to muff-tech than just making the loudest noise possible.

Muff-tech..., I just made that up.

It may take around 30 days to get. I am currently #14 on a waiting list. I got on the list about 10 days or so ago. All I can tell you is waiting for a cool new toy is terrible. I want it NOW!

We have been working on our manufacturing methods to increase our output without sacrificing quality. Its a difficult balance and Kevin is adamant about retaining his personal high standard of quality. The wait times have been getting shorter though.

Hang in there it is definitely worth the wait. I can tell you the Kevin is very discriminating in his builds and everything will be right before he ships it to you. It may take a small wait, but it is the best your gonna get.

More pics. Wow!!

This is the old one. Big difference in looks and power!! The standard runs great but the Stainless will pull your house off the stops.

Well, I rode it more yesterday and oh my God. I broke the back tire loose in second gear and went into a powerslide. Freaking awesome!! Very controllable thanks to my tires and experience, but crazy power. Out of a 9s no less.

Well, the GUTTER 5000 is finished...hopefully from now on all the conversions will NOT have to be split and welded up the middle....I built 3 today without the seam and they really look great....see, I'm always trying to make things better.....if anyone wants their stock can gutted without welding up the middle, give me a call....

I have visions of a hydraulic powered device crawling up the outlet and nibbling the insides out while leaving the outer skin intact, am I right?

For those of you up here that missed this thread before. Check it out. I don't mean to be a pain in the butt here. I just saw several more SS threads that would have questions answered by this thread.
