Iv herd people say that its KN-177 and also herd people say its
ph#1003.
which one is it or are thay the same.

Take a look. K & N's website calls out the KN-177, but if you do a cross reference from a Fram PH4967 it gives you the HP-1003

I use the HP-1003 because the local auto parts store stocks them.

jessea, you could also opt for a scott's performance billet oil filter. i've been using one since i got my bike new and will probably never go back. awsome quality piece. i've heard good and bad on reusable oil filters due to the acid built up in oil, but i'm sold on it. i also change my oil often so i guess its a little overkill. but then again, i like the "bling" factor. http://scottsperformance.com/indexmain.html

I use the KN-177, so I guess either one will do...
I am not sure about the ph#1003, but the KN-177 has a bolt on the end which also happens to be cross drilled

Jerseyguy. The SDF10 is a car filter,my book show the SDF10 is for the 00-01 Blast, are you saying that it will fit my 06XB12R?
