Look at Daves' ride to the UP promotion. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/164177.html?1133479512 For me, local dealers started at MSRP + freight and prep charges. Later they could meet his price on the bike, but the discount (15%) Dave is offering on parts and accessories made it a better value. Espically if you plan to get the factory luggage, GPS, or other high $$$ accessory. Add to that the free labor on the luggage install.. Well anyways, you get the idea. WI isn't that far from you. |

I printed out Dave's offer and brought it to my local dealer. They matched it- $500 off the bike, 15% off the bags and low seat with free installation(I did it myself, though) and 10% off all P&A for a year. I'm happy with the deal. I like Dave, and think he's one of the best, but Appleton is just a little too far away. |

The Buell dealer in Libertyville is selling the Uly for $1000.00 off the MSRP price right now and has 7 in stock the last Monday night when I was there. 4 black ones and 3 orange. |

I don't know what the margin on these bikes are, but the lowest price I've seen on one is $9995 + $595 dealer fee. That being said, I'd rather pay a bit more and deal with a good local dealer or a quality person like Daves. |

You're a gentleman and a scholar Dave! Notice I didn't say I'd rather get ripped off by a local dealer. I like for the dealer to make some money (so they are there when I need them), but I've got sense enough to know that there is some "fudge" built into the MSRP. |
