If you are using the upload attachment button, try using the \image{your mouse-over text here} method or vice versa. |

Do any of you store your bikes outdoors in the Seattle area and if so, what methods do you use? |

Im going to try to make it out to the meeting tonight. Shotgun, we sold the Blast last month, Tracie is just not ready for it and would rather just worry about not falling off the back of mine for now. Wish I could have worked a deal with ya on the derbi, would like to have a run at the rest of the crew with one. |

S1Hooliman, sorry you sold the Blast. If your buyer has any second thots, send em to me, I love that little bike. Tracie, it don't matter if you're drivin, as long as you're ridin. I went nuts at prankplace.com the other day and have a tee shirt ready for Bob. "Man W H O R E " You want me to send it Bob or keep it til I see ya? After all, you are the All American Giggilo. I also got a neat Redneck Horn I can stick on my bike. Instead of hitting the little meep meep Ducati horn, I can send a voicemail to the stupid driver: "What's your hurry, dipshit, Walmart's open all nite!" And 7 other variations. |

Duh, yup that's me. I bought a brand new Yamaha 750 triple in 1979. It was red and had a comfy seat. I got it home and was looking it over with some friends and one guy said something questioning a triple's basic integretie, not to mention it's pedigry. I looked down and was amazed to see a three cylendered power plant. I hadn't noticed... oh my. sooner, Galen |

Galen- My very first ride was a 77 d model. That bike started it all for me. Have many fond memories on that bike. Too bad I rode the out of it and seized the center piston one hot summer day. Mike |

Those were the days. That bike seemed so fast. Remember cruising 82nd with ski goggles. Have you got any pictures to post of that bike? |

Ya wanna talk old? My first bike was a 1961 Lambretta 125, bought used, out of storage in 1997 from a couple who were in Bumfart Egypt in the PeaceCorps. As Kim calls me, "Old Steve" |

Matt yes I do but without the ski goggles. I might also post up a picture of your first ride as extra bonus. Please be patient as these pictures are in books and are 20+ years old. Mike |

That is ok Steve cause Kim calls me an "idiot". One night in 1985 in Corvallis Or. I ran from the local police on a moped that required you to pedal to start out. 78 Motobecane 50 with book rack. I got away clean as witnessed by person 2 posts back. Come to think of it he called me an idiot too. Mike |

Ahh, the 82 750 Maxim with the bent forks. Death wobbles at 80 mph unless you had a passenger and then it was rock solid up to 130 or so. Remember, I had to choose between the Seca turbo and the Maxim at that little shop in Corvallis. And the 750 triple you loaned me to brush up on so I could get my endorsement cost me my first citation. (No mirrors) Dont forget, during the moped flat tracking incident, that you had to quickly off load a passenger while making your get away. And then I think about the rides around St Helens and through the BC mountains and Winthrop.... Some things never change. |

Mike, I had a '78 Z1R. I drag raced it too. Kerker pipe, I used to love the way that thing sounded. I have a buddy restoring one in Winnipeg. As I recall it had a wet spaghetti frame and would go into speed wobbles (the bad kind) with no warning. |

Harv you are right that bike was very loud. Every time I left the house my Mom made me push it down the street Before I could start it. I was not very popular in the hood. That bike will always have special memories for me as it was my first "superbike". Mike |

So Harv - you had the same ride, how about the same mullet? OMG - We got a few laughs as we were posting up those pictures. Little did you know one of those pictures was a Super Cuts ad - Crotch Rocket Mullet - chicks will dig the wind blown, I've just been riding really fast and want to ride fast again style! Come on in to Super Cuts and get a Super Style. Kimberlie PS.... I can poke fun only because back in the day I had the "Fullet" aka FEM-Mullet! Oh boy what was I thinking? |
