Well I did it again, Had her offroad today. There was a bunch of us out evreything from a klx 250 upto an HP2. Some nice roads, However the tires on the ULY suck in the snow, They also suck in the mud, And I fell down 3 times! No major damage ecept i bent the rear brake pedal But it was fun and well everyone was impressed with how well the Uly held up for a big heavy bike. Anyways here's a link with pics and otehr stuff if you guys are intereseted, and here's some of me... http://www.islandriders.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=2192&page=2 |

I dont know if i would want to take the uly off road. In my opinion in any thing other than hard packed gravel roads the uly sucks. If i want to go off road and have fun the last thing i want to be doing is slipping and falling all the time especially with a heavy bike. I think the answer is get a real dual sport and really have some fun off road. And this is just my opinion, not ment to be arguementative. |

You are right clay... It's actully great in anything other than snow and mud, loss gravel seems to be ok. I will be buying a dual sport however, But I'll still use the uly for camping trips and stuff, those fortestry campsites rock! |

You got it thats exactlly what i think that the bike was intended for. Did you get to ride the new klx 250, the big thing i dont like about most new dual sports is they put those useless tiny gas tanks on. I am getting my dr 650 rebuilt again. so hopefully i will have that back for all my back road bashing. its nice to have a bike that you can totaly abuse. |

Um ya a rode the klx.... 150 km/h in 6th gear.. um 9 liter tank will give you about 200km range it's fast and light only like 230 pounds!! thinking i might pick one up... Oh and after washing my bike it looks as if i've cracked the right front fender guard thing oh well!!! |
