I wrapped the Micron last night, and had to make a compromise, so hopefully those who know can share some insight with me - The down pipes do not go into a common collector as with the stock header, but the wind a parallel path down to the silencer, side by side. They are so close together that I did not think I could wrap both pipes and maintain their intended fit, so where they draw close (couple millimeters) I wrapped them together, all the way down to the can. Looks good to me, but my question is this - Will the interior, non-wrapped, portion of the down pipes be cooler than the exterior wrapped portions, causing some sort of temperature differential that induces turbulence and negates the benefits that the hydroformed heads were intended to produce? Or will the pipes, being that overall they are both incased in wrap as a set, and are so close to together, maintain a reasonably uniform temp? Bottom line - is this set up ok? |

I think you'd be fine with the way you've got it. |

I intentionally left clamps rotated outward as full fairings will be on this, and I figured they might act as a spacer in a pinch - |

you should be just fine. the heat that will escape out of the top of the gap will be minimal. |
