i knwo this will get moved to the classifieds, however im just wondering before i go out and get my wheels powdercoated if anyone has any black wheels they would want to trade stright up for stock silver ones.

If you can afford it... get them powdercoated
The painted wheels are much more delicate then one would want (well at least the amber wheels are).
With powdercoated wheels you won't have to worry nearly as much when you are getting new tires mounted and in my case even washing them...

The Amber wheels are powdercoat.

powder coating depends on how many layers thick it is. Fewer layers and its not much different then paint

It also depends on what kind of powder they use. Some are more durable than others.

I'm positive. Buell had quite a problem getting consistant amber color without variations in color. Straight from Erik Buell himself 2 years ago.
