Thanks guys! is it from tapeworks? No I did it myself. I have a small vinyl cutter. No_rice, last year it didn't have the eagle on the top of the cover, I add it 2 weeks ago. |

what color did u go with under for a base? thought it was black till i looked at the middle pic and the front fender looks purple. the guy you had do your air brushing is pretty good at the real flame look. oops... guess it says black in the profile. just must have alittle purple coloring in the flame too. honestly, I love the paint. but-I think the flames on the frame are kind of plain (for lack of a better word) in comparison. Just my opinion. take it for whatever it's worth. I have admired your flame job for quite some time now. It just keeps getting better. |

No_rice, the base color is black but there's some pearl purple at the tips of the flames. I'm surprise somebody notice that. In real we can see it easely but that does not appear much on the picture. By the way, I did the paint job. Buell_it, et oui, ici c'est l'hivers... le froid, la neige... et vous en France, il fait froid? Voltage_vector, It fit really nice on the bike. I don't know how it feel because I didn't ride with it yet. Here we have snow... probably for another 2 months :-( What kind of issues did you had with your select seat? Diablobrian, I was also not sure about the flames on the frame. That's why I asked here to see what's people think of it. I don't want to paint the frame. I don't find paints hard enough for a frame. If I keep the bike long enough I'll probably get it powder coated black someday. Pcmodeler, yes I did it. Thanks for your comments guys! |

Stou, I like the idea of the flames on the tank, but they don't seem to flow with the flames on the airbox cover. Looks like they are flowing in the wrong direction. Think about having them flow from the lower edge of the tank and have the same directional pattern as the flames on the airbox cover. Just my thoughts. |

Gowindward, that's a good point. I did the flames on the frame with the frame shape in mind. I didn't thought about the flow of the flames on the cover. I will do some test to see how it can look with the flames flowing in the same direction of the other flames. Thanks! Spuds, I heard that there's some nice twisties roads in Ontario. I read a magazine last week and I precisely thought of planning a ride in Ontario the next summer. Maybe we can arrange to ride sometime next summer. |

I did some test with different flowing flames. Which one do you like better, the one on the first picture or this one? Personally I prefer the first one even if it does not flow in the same direction of the flames on the paint

In my humble opinion I say no flames on the frame at all. No matter what you do they just don't measure up to the quality of work done on the tank. In fact they clash in style and take away from the beauty of your paint work. Just my 2 cents since you asked. Your paint work is second to none. |

+1 the paint is incredible, and the frame although it being good work as well just doesn't look right.. Larry |

IMHO the tank is gorgeous! The sticky flames on the frame are kinda like putting chrome ladies on the mudflaps of a Ferrari! Not to bag on your idea but I think you should apply those painting skills to the frame!!! |

I second Skyguys thought. Stou if you want flames on the frame.... Paint them on. Maybe use the silver as your base color and then put the same type flame your bike has now. Just an idea!! |

I like the first flames better. What if you were to airbrush the vinyl? would it stick better to that than it would the frame? |

I like the first ones or none - the second batch says to me "This freakin engine is hot as hell, and roasting my ass pretty good" |

I think painting flames like on the tank would be sweeter. maybe cover them with the stick on clear grip film I saw at ironmachine? Protect the paint and give you traction. Just an idea. If you do it definitely silver base on the frame. |
