Classic Crusty: Hey! This means that we won't have to sit around and watch some idiot part out a Buell to build a Mutated Butthead rigid framed chopper. It really bugs me to see some jerk take a bike that handles and stops and turn it into a wobbling, unsuspended piece of junk. It's like having a solid gold pecker. It's bright & shiny, and it cost a lot to make, but it doesn't work nearly as good as the real thing. |

Mountainrider, I can understand the "APPALACHIAN-AMERICANS" for those who live in the 'hills', but what about the inhabitants of flatter geography in the regions listed - commonly referred to as 'rednecks'? Just curious, 1313 |

If you had a digital camcorder you could record it from a VHS player onto your camcorder. I do it all the time. Do not know if this is what you are asking about but maybe it will help. On a little different subject. I have now gotten a DVD recorder and I think it is better then the computer when it comes to making DVDs. You can record and edit without any kind of special programs. Stealthxb I can also hook my camcorder up to it and record a DVD onto my camera and then download it onto my computer. Makes this a simple process for a dummy like me. It was on sale at Wally World and I am very happy with it. |

N12R: I think you need a video capture card and some software. To use Smoke Screen's camera you'd need a capture card with a composite video or S-video input. Here is some info I found on the web. http://www.videoguys.com/vidcap.htm |

N12R: I think you need a video capture card and some software. Yep, and I have one installed on my computer. If it's on tape, VHS, or Super 8, I can pick up the tape and convert it for you. |

Glitch...could you email me your address. I will send you the videos and a package of DVD-R. I got them thinking I had a DVD burner on my computer but in fact do not. I figured out how to burn on a CD-R with my camera so it will play in my home DVD player. I have already opened them and can't use them...so you can have them. |

anyone know how to convert DVD files into an editable format? If it's a homemade DVD, you can just open up the drive, go into the VIDEO_TS folder, copy the .vob files to your harddrive, and rename them to .mpg. If it's a commercial DVD, the files are encrypted, and you'll need some ripping software. |
