Threw a leg over the new Ulysses and like much of what the bike has to offer, but it's so tall has anyone installed the low seat? and if so how much does it really lower seat height? Thanks Will |

Eeyore has a good review of the Uly here. He has tried the Stock, Corbin and Low seats. I think he ended up going with the low. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93290&page=3 |

Pd- I'm 5'10" and have the stock seat. It is tall but only when ya stop! I like the seating comfort while riding and I will adapt to the tall seat. As a dirt bike rider I'm used to the tall seating. Check the other threads here on Uly owners with the other seats. Its a personal preference. Also I have a pair of Oakley boots with tall soles I wear and that helps. The Uly is well balanced and I even had Fiery ride with me, the only concern to me was when she was getting on or off. I put the side stand down just in case I lost my footing, but when riding the bike is very neutral and comfortable with a passenger. Buy a Uly you can't go wrong! |

I'm 5'9" and I have the low seat. I can tip toe when I stop. I have done one 400 mile day with the low seat with no soreness afterward. BTW, this is my favorite bike of the 13 that I have owned. |

I'm 5'9" too... I could do the tripod thing with the stock seat... Got the low seat from local dealer for $186.00 (15% BRAG discount)... BTW, I've said this before; the only problem I had with the new OEM low seat was the installation of the ECM stand-off... there is simply little room for a wrench...But after 30 minutes or so of finagling I was able to install the stand-off... The OEM low seat makes a big difference and boosts one's confidence at stops... I can actuallty stand on the balls of both feet no problem.... |
