But, I went on to say, "There are no recalls for the 2001 and up models." I can see how that could have been confusing, but I was referring to the 2001-2003 Blast models. Jeff |

I've never owned a bike I didn't have to work on. I've never owned a car I didn't have to work on. Anyone ever see the bumper sticker that says "If it has tits or wheels it will give you problems!" It holds very true no matter what. Why didn't any of the people bitching about problems ever research Buell history before purchasing? I did, and having an idea of what could go wrong vs. the potential of what I could do with the bike swayed me to buy one. All recalls have been done to my machine without complaint due to the fact of SAFETY! I'll build you a bike with a promise of no recalls and then I'll get sued for killing someone. Everyone who has a problem with recalls on there Buell can just give their bike to me and your problems will be solved! |

I've had five shocks on three Buell Cyclones. None of them failed or leaked. |

I have a 1999 Phase-one X1 and still have the factory shock at 12k miles. No problems. I also have not had problems with; clutch, or throttle cables, primary tensioner, speedomer cable, isolators, motor mounts, brackets, etc. None. I have had the leaky rocker box gasket virus. They were fixed under warranty. I must say that the FI in early 99's was crappy, but thats ok, they remapped it for free and i wanted the race ECM anyway. I had the usual recall things done, even though I didnt have any problems. Just my 2 cents. Craig Davis Buell Cycle Center |

s'matter Jose . . . .did you detect someone enjoying their Buell? that woulda been me this weekend, btw . . .. . every manufacturer in the world recalls stuff . . . .Buell is likely over-represented, due, in part, to their recalling things that others (I can cite Honda and Yamaha from first hand experience) would not. sheesh . . .I mean I'm sorry your Buell let ya down, guy, I really am . . . . and I recognize the areas for improvement that exist in the tubers (gone now, but still loved my some), but my advice to you is find a new gospel, go riding, get drunk, make love, but get your life back . . . you've ceded way to much of it to a broken motorcycle |
