Any particular reason you're doing this? Should look pretty mean. |

sweet! i was kind of debating that option for my wrecked plastics. since you were talking about doing it awhile ago though i decided to just sand and paint them for now. if the paint doesnt hold up though i might have to check in and see how yours are holding up. they should look neat |

DarkDuc.. I wanted to do something different to the plastics, I don't care for the blue, and although I think the red voltage skins are gorgeous, I can't afford $800 for them. Someone suggested the rhino liner, but Line-X has better reviews. Although their product only comes in black, it does kind of sparkle, so I just thought for 40-50 dollars, it'd be neat to try it. So, soon you'll see the outcome..and at least there won't be any scratches.. |

It would have been cool to see what it looks like with just the inside lined, not the outside. It would have looked like black paint with 1/4 inch of clear coat... |

I have been thinking of doing a design on the frame of my XB with line-x as well. I was going to do it in vinyl, but thought that the constant rubbing from my leg would wear out the vinyl. Plus, the line-x may provide a little 'gription'for my leg in the twisties. Let me know how it goes. |

The difference between Rhino and Line-X, is the Rhino lining feels more pliable/"rubbery" than LineX. LineX is harder, more plastic like and slippery. Either one would be cool effect. But for a truck bed, I prefer Rhino. |

I'm WORKING on it...they called, it should be ready tomorrow..he's trying to outline my buell logo so it doesn't have to be covered..it'd still be raised if he has to cover it..but I'll live with that. I can't wait to see it..weeeeeeeeeeeeee I wanted to line the frame too, but it would involve taking the bike apart..i think i'll pass on that much work...but if it's really amazing, maybe I'll go for that eventually |

Are you leaving the Buell badges on? That would probably look really cool. |

Dark..no matter what, I'm getting reflective sticky stuff cut into a buell logo for the frame and just bought a flat black scorpion helmet..which are fabulous helmets, by the way..so I can get reflective designs put on it..some white lights to reflect below the bike too, because i don't know about anyone else, but the bike just disappears at night and people in south florida are just plain crappy drivers..so i'd like to be seen..and tell ya' what..being a girl on a bike, I think is a safety feature..because everyone seems to notice a chick with a long ponytail on a bike! |

Probally to late but make sure they use a thin coat, That stuff is heavy. Also make sure to look for potental rub spots on the frame, oil, brake lines etc. Line-X is like sand paper and could do some vibration related damage. Should look pretty interesting though. There are some very similar products that mix with paint so you can get any color "line-x" you want. |

omg..SORRY guys...They were late finishing the parts. I got them back yesterday and Dudes..it looks AWESOME!!! I PROMISE I will take pics when I get home tonight. I only coated the airbox cover and the windscreen. He made a sort of rectang-oval shape around the logo, which will afford me an AWESOME place to put some lights under and DUDES (and chicks)..it is EVIL looking.. can't wait to show you... THANKS FOR BEING PATIENT... HUGS!!! Ang |
